--The Acadian Museum of Pubnico: Since its official opening in 1979, the museum has acquired an impressive selection of artifacts which depict how life would have been for the French Acadians at an earlier time. In addition to household items, there are documents and literature dating back to the 1700's which are of great interest to the genealogist and historian. The museum's new wing boasts a fine display of cameras, photographs and associated paraphernalia. There are over 300 cameras spanning one hundred years of photographic history.
--The Historic Acadian Village, part of the Nova Scotia Museum: Situated on a beautiful 17-acre site overlooking Pubnico harbour, Le Village historique acadien de la Nouvelle-Écosse (Historical Acadian Village of Nova Scotia) invites you to step back in time and discover the heart, life and work of the Acadians of the early 1900s. Visit the old cemetery, with its timeworn tombstones dating to the early 19th century; browse a gift shop filled with unique handmade crafts; and explore vintage Acadian buildings loving preserved on site.
--Wedgeport Sport Tuna Fishing Museum: Inside you will find show cases filled with mementos, photos from the glory days of sport tuna fishing, trophies, fishing rods on display, and a mock tuna fishing boat with the original tuna fighting chair. The museum also features other exhibits including some Acadian history, Wedgeport history, and a 32 pound mounted lobster!
-- Canada's Oldest Court House & Jail: Tusket Court House and Jail, Canada's oldest court house and jail, lovingly restored, built in 1805 and operated until 1944 in the picturesque village of Tusket.
--Eglise Ste. Anne Church and Rocco Point Chapel: Visit a 113-year-old wooden Acadian church and 18th century style chapel with picnic tables, nature walk,and bird watching.
